A Titanium Revolution in 3D Technology: Discover the Discover Ti-Koloride gravel bike

The bicycle market has accustomed us to choosing between classic and modern designs. On the one hand, we have titanium—a legendary material that is durable and offers exceptional vibration-damping properties. On the other—advanced manufacturing technologies that allow frames to be designed with unprecedented precision.

At Koloride, we decided to combine these two worlds.
That’s how the Discover Ti-Koloride was born—a titanium gravel bike whose construction utilizes innovative 3D printing technology, opening up entirely new possibilities in frame geometry and design.

Why is 3D-printed titanium a game-changer?

Titanium is a material that is demanding to work with yet incredibly rewarding to use. In traditional manufacturing, designers are limited by the shapes and cross-sections of available tubes, as well as the methods used to join them.

With the Discover Ti model, we’ve taken it a step further. The use of 3D printing technology allows us to create titanium frame components with complex, organic shapes that cannot be achieved using traditional manufacturing methods.

This allows for precise control of stiffness in the areas responsible for power transfer, while maintaining flexibility in the areas that contribute to comfort. The result is a frame weighing approximately 1,420 g (size M), designed for long-distance efficiency rather than just catalog-listed lightness.

This design is built to tackle the toughest challenges—ultra races, multi-day bikepacking expeditions, and routes where both the bike and the rider’s fatigue mount
with every kilometer.

Geometry for Ultra-Distance Enthusiasts

The Discover Ti isn’t just an eye-catching piece of engineering. Above all, it’s a tool designed for long distances.

We designed the frame geometry to ensure stable handling at high speeds, but also when fully loaded with bikepacking gear. This is particularly important during multi-day races and self-supported expeditions.

The model offers, among other features:

  • generous tire clearance for tires up to 700×45c
  • a full-carbon, tapered fork with additional mounting points
  • internal cable routing to protect cables off-road
  • UDH derailleur hanger standard

In the top-tier specifications, the weight of complete bikes starts at around 7.3 kg, which translates to high riding dynamics and climbing efficiency even in touring configurations.

Personalization Without Compromise

Like every Koloride project, the Discover Ti is built around full customization. The frame serves as the foundation, which we configure for a specific riding style—from ultramarathons to fast, multi-day gravel adventures.

You can customize everything from the drivetrain and cockpit to the wheels and contact components. Depending on your goals, the project can be built around top-tier wireless groupsets, such as SRAM RED AXS, or sets optimized for reliability and long-distance use.

The selection of wheels, Zipp and PRO components, and Fizik contact points allows you to fine-tune the bike not only for performance but also for ergonomics over hundreds of kilometers of riding.

Ready for bikepacking and ultra

From the very beginning, the Discover Ti was designed as a platform for long distances. The frame and fork feature numerous mounting points, allowing for the installation of additional water bottle cages, cargo racks, or bikepacking bags.

This allows you to build configurations ranging from minimalist racing setups to full expedition rigs, without compromising the bike’s handling. The stable geometry and the inherent characteristics of titanium ensure that even when fully loaded, the bike remains predictable and comfortable to ride.

Summary – A New Dimension in Titanium Gravel Bikes

The Discover Ti-Koloride sets a new standard in the premium gravel segment. The combination of titanium and 3D printing technology has enabled the creation of a frame with an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and geometry optimized for the longest distances.

This bike is designed for ultra-riders, bikepackers, and anyone who expects not only durability but also a technological edge from their equipment.

One bike, endless experiences.

Koloride's FAQ

1. Is the DISCOVER Ti frame entirely 3D-printed?

No. The DISCOVER Ti uses 3D printing technology to produce select titanium frame components. This allows for the creation of complex joint shapes that are difficult to achieve using traditional methods. The rest of the frame is made of titanium tubes.

2. What are the benefits of 3D printing in a titanium gravel frame?

3D printing technology gives designers greater freedom to shape frame junctions. It allows for the development of junctions with complex geometries and the tailoring of their design to the bike’s intended characteristics. In the DISCOVER Ti, we took advantage of these capabilities by designing the frame with efficient power transfer, comfort, and long-distance riding in mind.

3. How much does the DISCOVER Ti-Koloride titanium frame weigh?

The DISCOVER Ti frame weighs approximately 1,420 g in size M. The weight of the complete bike depends on the selected components. In the lightest configurations, it can start at around 7.3 kg.

4. Is the DISCOVER Ti suitable for bikepacking and ultra races?

Yes. The DISCOVER Ti was designed with long-distance riding, gravel ultramarathons, and bikepacking expeditions in mind. Its stable geometry and additional mounting points on the frame and fork allow you to set up both a lightweight race setup and a bike for a multi-day expedition.

5. What tires can be mounted on the DISCOVER Ti?

The DISCOVER Ti is designed for tires up to 700 × 45C. The choice of a specific tire model depends on the type of trails, riding conditions, and the actual tire width on the selected rim.
