Titanium bike – a real superhero, almost like from a comic book

KOLORIDE WORLD

We talk about our love for titanium. Once platonic and dreamlike, which this year we managed to materialize into a real object of sighs – titanium Coloride!

For years, we have not left the bike saddle, or actually from... saddles! There are thousands of kilometres behind us, during which we tested various machines – from aerodynamic timepieces to heavy enduro machines. We had the opportunity to ride on frames made of aluminum, steel and various types of carbon. But always somethingwe missed it! That thing was our biggest childhood dream – titanium! He was the golden grail for us, a symbol of the perfect bike.

We are making a dream come true, we are expanding our offer

The idea to use titanium as a material for bicycle frames accompanied us from the very beginning of the creation of the Koloride brand. However, we needed time to mature for its implementation. We wanted the frame geometry to be carefully thought out and tailored to our expectations. After many hours of design work and analysis, we have come to the point where we can present you as many as three unique models:

  • – with the possibility ofunfastening the frame for the belt drive, selecting the steering wheel and replacing the carbon fork with a shock absorber.

  • – agile and fast – perfect for both road and gravel highways.

  • – an innovative combination of modern technology, exceptional titanium strength and refined geometry that creates the heart of your dream gravel.

What's with the titanium?

Titan entered the world of bicycles in the 1980s Previously used mainly in the aerospace industry and medicine, it has gained recognition for its lightness and corrosion resistance. When engineers saw its potential in the construction of bicycle frames, it quickly became a symbol of durability, timelessness and the highest quality of workmanship.

This material combines exceptional strength and low weight. Its density is about 4.5 g/cm³, which makes itlighter than steel (7.85 g/cm³). But it is not only the mass that speaks for its attractiveness – titanium is characterized by extraordinary resistance to corrosion and fatigue of the material. This means that frames made of this metal can serve for many years without worrying about the durability of the structure. In addition, thanks to its natural flexibility, titanium absorbs vibrations better than aluminum or carbon, which significantly improves ride comfort.

According to the arts… crafts

One of the most fascinating aspects of titanium frames is their manufacturing process. Unlike mass-produced aluminum or carbon models, titanium frames are often made by hand, in the workshops of experienced craftsmen.
It's not just a technological process, it's a real art! Each welded joint testifies to the quality of workmanship, and quality says everything about the frame class! In today's world full of mass production andshort-term trends, having a handmade frame is a symbol of individualism and a true passion for cycling.
By choosing a titanium construction, you invest not only in equipment, but in something unique and timeless. A titanium frame can serve for decades, becoming part of your cycling history.

This article was created when we introduced the first titanium designs  to the Koloride offer.

Today, we look at these first constructions from a completely different perspective. The models that we then described functionally — without names yet — became the foundation of our current line of titanium bikes.

The flagship, comfortable gravel developed into the model we know today as GRAIN Ti-Koloride, and its variant with the possibility of unzipping the frame for the belt drive adoptedlOOP TI-KOLORIDE form.

The concept of a fast, agile all-road has been developed in RANGE Ti-Koloride — a structure combining asphalt with light gravel.

In turn, the design of the gravel using 3D printing technology became the basis for today's DISCOVER Ti-Koloride — the most technologically advanced version of our titanium line.
