About us - Koloride

Building bikes
between the forest and the city

Just one bike

One might think we’re incorrigible idealists for calling the bike the greatest vehicle in the world. But it’s all out of pure pragmatism, as our dream was born from the desire to have just one bike for comfortable riding in the city and playing off-road. With time we managed to transform this dream into Koloride. This way passion became our way of life.

Every day we venture into the world

We’re based in the heart of the Wielkopolski National Park, in a house by the forest, from where we embark on rides along the nearby gravel roads, longer bikepacking expeditions, and take part in ultramarathons. Here, surrounded by nature but only 15 km from Poznań, we develop and implement ideas inspired by long miles spent on a bike saddle. Welcome to the world of Koloride!

Details are where the comfort lies

We’re driven by curiosity, and it's what led us to the solutions behind the comfortable and multifunctional Koloride bikes. We've spent months in meetings and discussions with experts, countless hours on projects and prototypes, and on selecting the best partners to collaborate with. All this, so that you can have just one bike that gives you endless freedom to choose your route in any conditions.

A forester builds a bike

We love nature and are devoted to protect it. In the production process, we strive to reduce our carbon footprint by using aluminum from European smelters, short supply chains, and eco-friendly packaging. We are craftsmen committed to uncompromising and timeless quality, so you can enjoy your Koloride bike for many years to come.

Your own direction

We care about the bikes you ride. We cater to cyclists with different needs and lifestyles, which is why customization is so important to us. We want to involve as many people as possible in gravel riding - regardless of gender or physical ability - giving them the opportunity to pursue their passion on their own terms.

Reliability that grants freedom

Efficiency in the field is our specialty. We owe it to the design of our frame, high-quality components, and creative solutions.

01

The fram

An aluminum frame created and produced in Poland. Made of hard and highly durable 7020 aluminum alloy, making it exceptionally resistant to potential damage. It effectively dampens vibrations and is very rigid.

What distinguishes the Koloride frame is its unique geometry, which is the result of several months of work and years of experience riding various bikes in different styles. It provides an optimally comfortable position for those with a more amateur approach to riding. At the same time, the bike remains compact and agile, making it perfectly suited for off-road adventures in its sporty guise. The unique parameters of the frame allow for selecting components tailored to individual riding styles.

02

The suspension

Another improvement introduced by Koloride is the ability to mount either a front gravel bike suspension fork or a rigid carbon fibre fork while maintaining the same frame geometry. We achieved this by extending the rigid carbon fork to 420 millimeters.

03

The drive

The rear triangle of the Koloride frame has been designed to accommodate both a traditional chain, as well as a belt – which is a relatively new trend in the gravel world. The presence of two types of dropouts allows for future modifications to the bike and changing the drive without having to buy a new frame.

04

The handlebar

The Koloride frame allows for a choice between a straight and a drop handlebar, ensuring an equally comfortable riding position. Mounting a flat bar does not require a stronger tilt in the lower grip. Meanwhile, the drop bar offers great flexibility and gripping comfort.

05

The wheelbase

We have extended the distance between the front and rear wheel axles. This means that the Koloride bike performs excellently on straight sections of hardened surfaces as well as when going downhill. The wheelbase used also ensures very good stability when the bike is loaded with panniers or bags.

06

The tires

Koloride bikes can accommodate various tire thicknesses and treads, depending on the rider’s needs. We typically use 40” tires, but if the bike is expected to be used mainly for urban riding, we suggest 32-38” tires. For off-road riding enthusiasts, there’s the option of mounting thicker tires – up to 45”.

07

Mounting brackets

We want the Koloride bike to accompany you in various situations, which is why we offer the maximum number of mounting screws as standard, allowing you to attach mudguards, rear and front racks, tool carriers, three water bottles, panniers or bikepacking bags, as well as a kickstand.
